Key Responsibilities:
- Design and facilitate safe, effective, and enjoyable group therapeutic riding lessons focusing on both equestrian and life skill development.
- Track and document participant attendance and progress toward goals using our management system.
- Ensure participant records are current and accurately maintained.
- Coach riders and volunteers with strength-based, encouraging feedback to promote growth and confidence.
- Oversee lesson preparation, including equipment setup and cleanup.
- Monitor equine health, behavior, and tack fit to ensure safety for both horses and participants.
- Stay informed on industry standards, disabilities served, and intervention techniques through professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with site leadership, volunteers, and equine care staff to create a positive and supportive environment.
- Complete incident reports and communicate concerns promptly to leadership.
- Assist with equine evaluations and training as needed.
- Attend team meetings and organization-wide events.
What We’re Looking For:
- A certified PATH Intl. CTRI, ESMHL, or CHA IRD, CHA EWI (or someone actively pursuing certification).
- Experience in riding, horsemanship, and understanding equine behavior and health.
- Knowledge of PATH and CHA accreditation standards in therapeutic riding and equine-assisted learning programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups, including participants, families, and volunteers.
- Tech-savvy with experience using email, Google Workspace, and participant management systems.
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification for adults and children.
- Compassionate mission-driven individuals who love instructing and supporting the growth of their clients.
- Team players who are willing to support other members of the PALS team when needed.

Job Details:
- Location: Bloomington, IN
- Schedule: Weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings/afternoons based on program needs.
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and certification level.
