Job description
Highly EXPERIENCED large part Programmer/Machinist. Fanuc & Mazak control experience as well as full working knowledge of modern CNC turning & machining centers is required. This position is a vital part of our manufacturing team, utilizing your core skills in programming,
blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and CNC machining to produce high-quality parts
with precision. The qualified candidates will be primarily responsible for programming our CNC
lathes & mills and on occasion setup and running turning and/or milling machines (2 to 5 axis).Knowledge of tooling and basic program troubleshooting is also required. Our primary business is large, high value, low volume precision machined components.
Overview
Ensure quality & on-time part production by programming, training others, setting up and
running 2-5 axis CNC lathes. Daily interface with plant manager to set priorities.
Summary of tasks:
• Program roughing and finishing lathe operations and some milling
• Select proper tooling to run jobs, create setup sheets
• Review operation details with plant manager
• Assist with trouble shooting problem operations/jobs
• Report job status details to plant manager
• Ensure chosen tooling & job related item availability
• Train & support lesser skilled machinists with proper setup and run techniques
• Setup and run jobs as needed
Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years experience in Mastercam programming setup and operation of cnc
machines
2. Must have own tools
3. G-Code knowledge & CAD/CAM
4. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand drawing features
5. Full understanding of tool offsets
6. Ability to follow written instructions and procedures
7. Problem solving & math skills

Required experience:
CNC setup/machining: 5 years
