Job Summary:
The Senior EHS Specialist ensures compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations at a Level 1 facility. They provide expertise, implement EHS programs, and monitor activities for compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role fosters a safety culture, drives improvements, and supports EHS management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address safety and environmental improvement opportunities.
- Lead EHS program implementation (ISO, OHSAS, VPP) and compliance.
- Develop processes to identify and control hazards per regulations.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions for incidents and regulatory issues.
- Manage regulatory recordkeeping, reporting, and case management.
- Deliver EHS training and monitor performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with air, water, waste, and DOT regulations.
- Oversee emergency response coordination and contractor management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Science, or EHS discipline.
- 9 years of industrial EHS experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, and safety regulations.
- Professional certification (CSP, CIH) preferred.
- Flexible schedule with on-call availability.
- Strong communication skills.
