What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Security Engineer position at People, Data & Solutions?
Key Responsibilities :
- Policy and Process Development :
- Develop and refine vulnerability management processes and create documentation to mature the organization's vulnerability management program.
- Vulnerability Identification and Assessment :
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans using tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Analyze scan results to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities in servers, workstations, applications, and network devices.
- Remediation Coordination :
- Collaborate with IT and product teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on risk.
- Track and validate remediation efforts to ensure vulnerabilities are effectively addressed.
- Risk Analysis and Reporting :
- Perform risk assessments to determine the impact and likelihood of vulnerabilities being exploited.
- Generate detailed reports and executive summaries to communicate vulnerabilities, risks, and remediation plans to stakeholders.
- Threat Intelligence Integration :
- Utilize threat intelligence sources to assess the relevance and criticality of vulnerabilities.
- Work with the Threat Intelligence Team to identify emerging vulnerabilities and recommend timely action plans.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
