CNC Machinist Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a talented CNC Machinist to become a valuable member of our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating CNC machinery, with a strong focus on precision. Expertise in setting up and running HAAS Mills, Lathes, and Tsugami Swiss machines is essential.
4 days out of the week!
2nd shift: 4pm-2:30am
Pay rate: $25-30
Duties
- Positive Attitude and Strong Work Ethic
- Technically proficient and diligent at measuring small and medium sized machined parts using micrometers, calipers, comparator, etc.
- Competent to Setup and Run CNC Lathe and 5 Axis Mill
- Haas and Fanuc controls (preferably Brother Speedio, Haas and Tsugami experience)
- Ability to read and understand Blueprint dimensions/Specifications for standard aerospace parts, such as: AS; MS; NAS; and NSA parts
- Basic shop math knowledge
- Threading and drilling experience preferred
- Simple G and M code knowledge
- Ability to edit speeds and feeds
- Experience machining Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Titanium, Copper, and Brass
- Ability to multitask and run minimum 2 machines at a time
- Knowledge of machined surface finishes
- Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment to produce precision parts.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure product quality.
- Assemble components as required, following detailed specifications and blueprints.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tooling and machinery as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
