Job description
We have partnered with a leading food manufacturer that specializes in the processing and distribution of food products and packaging of various private-label liquids and related food items for food companies, grocery stores and restaurants. We are seeking 2 dedicated and skilled Production Supervisors to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and organizing the equipment, staff, and processes on the production floor. You will play a key role in managing production schedules, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring the overall efficiency of production operations.
Direct Hire Placement
Pay rate: $25-$28.00/hr. Based on experience
Schedule: Monday- Friday (Saturdays as needed)
3rd shift- 6 PM-6:45 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize production schedules and activities.
- Assign work tasks based on production needs and employee skills.
- Review, draft, and approve production documents and reports.
- Make recommendations to improve production efficiency and adjust processes as needed.
- Rearrange production sequences to meet planning needs and deadlines.
- Monitor the availability of raw materials, components, and products required for production.
- Check the operational status and availability of equipment.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, waste management, and production processes.
- Assist in the hiring and integration of new production employees.
- Coordinate staff movements, rotations, and evaluations.
- Enforce company policies and regulatory compliance.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on employee performance and development.
- Collaborate with management on production processes.
- Validate production equipment and participate in employee training and development.
- Write and review production management documents, including procedures and validation reports.
- Verify inventory availability and compliance with product specifications.
- Plan and oversee equipment interventions and ensure timely start-ups.
- Monitor production line compliance and quality.
- Approve critical production steps and ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale projects.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills.
- Excellent management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow up effectively.
- Adaptability and versatility in a dynamic work environment.
- Analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Bilingual in Spanish is an asset.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or Packaging Supervisor in a regulated, continuous processing environment (food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods).
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to high noise levels, temperature extremes, bright or inadequate lighting, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Work performed in close physical proximity to others.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Requires sitting, bending, twisting, walking, repetitive movements, and standing for extended periods.
- Must handle hazardous equipment safely.
