Inventory Control Cycle Counter

People first employment is seeking a detail-oriented Cycle Counter to join our dynamic team in the warehouse environment. The Cycle Counter will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and supporting overall warehouse management. This position requires a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, as well as proficiency in inventory management systems.

• Monday - Friday and possibly Saturday's
• 7:00 am - 3:30 PLUS OVERTIME
• 10-12 hour shifts
• $20.50
• Temp to hire

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
• Analyze discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to identify issues affecting stock levels.
• Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Utilize AS400 or similar systems for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
• Assist in order fulfillment processes by ensuring that products are available for timely delivery.
• Maintain organized records of inventory transactions and adjustments.
• Support supplier management by communicating discrepancies or issues related to stock availability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is essential.
• 3-4 forklift experience (Reach truck, Cherry picker, Sit-down forklift, Rider)
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in financial analysis related to inventory management.
• Proficient in using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems.
• Ability to perform tasks related to buying and supplier management effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with various departments.

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
