Job Description
People First is accepting resumes for the position of Part-time Staff Accountant located at our Allentown office. The responsibilities of this Staff Accountant are daily and monthly posting / reconcilements, verification of exception reports, vault settlements, and general ledger account reconcilements.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable for the credit union. Research and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and enter daily and monthly general ledger transactions from source documents.
- Perform settlements for credit union products and services.
- Process and release domestic and international wires.
- Maintain and reconcile daily check registers.
- Prepare and post daily settlements for off-balance sheet products.
- Completes transactions with minimal errors according to established credit union policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including keyboarding, filing, computer input, and answering the phone.
