Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and supervise IT Support and engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Set clear performance expectations, conduct evaluations, provide feedback, and recognize outstanding performance.
- Allocate resources effectively, manage workload, and ensure the team has necessary tools and resources to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain open communication within the team and with other departments, serving as a liaison with the IT Manager and the CIO. Address and resolve conflicts fairly and promptly, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Participate in departmental strategic planning, find process improvements, and contribute to the IT department's strategic plan. Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely, within scope, and budget completion, coordinating with stakeholders.
- Install, configure, harden, deploy, upgrade, maintain, and recover endpoint and workstation hardware and peripherals. Research and resolve hardware and software conflicts to ensure smooth operation.
- Deploy and maintain application and operating system software on credit union endpoints, including testing and approving software updates from Microsoft and other third-party vendors.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 hardware, software, and systems support to end users, documenting support efforts via the IT ticketing system. Offer remote assistance whenever possible and desk-side/on-site support when necessary. Unlock and reset passwords for end users for network, core system, and applications. Develop workflows and templates within IT ticketing system to create efficiencies.
- Configure and deploy VOIP phones, Teams Phones and Conference room technologies.
- Oversee the building and deployment of both on-premises server infrastructure and Azure virtual server environments. Identify, evaluate, and present infrastructure needs and associated costs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure maintenance is completed for applications and operating system software on credit union servers, both on-premises and in Azure. Research and resolve hardware and software conflicts and issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement regular patching schedules and check server performance to ensure best operation and security. Test and approve software updates from Microsoft and other third-party vendors, ensuring compatibility and security.
- Develop and support backup and recovery procedures for both on-premises and Azure environments to ensure data integrity and availability. Manage Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems to ensure continuous power and prevent data loss during outages for on-premise resources.
