Position Overview: People Incorporated of Virginia is accepting applications for the position of Centralized Intake Specialist. In this position you will be responsible for operating the Centralized Intake system for People Inc to ensure that client families receive appropriate and effective referrals and service provision.

- Good organizational skills: This position requires an ability to keep track of deadlines and manage work to ensure that files and documents are orderly and accessible by multiple staff.
- Customer services skills: The position requires phone, email, and written communication with a wide range of people including community partners, our residents, and staff across the organization. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate clearly and professionally with all these parties, ensuring that people have a positive experience with People Incorporated.
- Communication skills: Interested applicant must be able to be an effective communicator and a good listener. You will be interacting with individuals in a wide socioeconomic and demographic range. Your ability to interact with all individuals is a key component for this position.
- Teamwork: This position is part of a small team, and while most work is done individually, will need to collaborate frequently across departments, staff, and partners. Additionally, this position will also work closely with the property management and development teams to support their goals and needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work with others to solve problems and execute job duties.
- Computer skills: This position requires some data entry into a couple of our database systems to track progress, partner participation, programs, and the use of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, OneDrive, etc.) to maintain records and prepare reports.
