Sample Supports is seeking a Job / Career Coach to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities participate in meaningful community employment across Colorado. A Job Coach works 1 : 1 or in small group settings with individuals with disabilities to help them develop job skills to find success in employment. Team members often describe this work as a career counselor as "life-changing" and "unbelievably rewarding," and we are looking for someone who is willing to take on the challenge!

Coaching real-life job skills to individuals with disabilities at their workplace while providing the needed supports to help them maintain employment in the communityOngoing communication with workplace supervisors, team members, and family membersProvide on-site training, instruction, supervision, and advocacy for individuals at community job sitesSupport individuals in increasing independence in their workplace and communityQualifications :
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to transport individuals in services in your vehicleIn order to provide transportation, the candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
Able to perform the physical demands of the position may include but are not limited to :Physically intervening with individuals that pose a safety threat to themselves or others utilizing NVCI-approved techniques,
Working with unpredictable and aggressive individuals and may be expected to be alone with them in the community or in their homes, andMaintaining calm and professionally intervening with individuals during escalated / crisis moments.If this sounds new or unfamiliar that's okay!
