The Direct Support Professional instructs individuals in Activities of Daily Living and performs related work as requested. Under the immediate supervision of the House Manager. Direct Support Professionals assist and instruct program individuals in the area of grooming, recreation, and activities of daily living, which may include toileting, feeding and showering.
In this role, you will provide:
Support with sensory and social stimulation.
Planning activities in an individual or group setting.
Adhere to all compliance standards and regulations.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to: laundry, housecleaning, and procurement of groceries, meal preparation, and other tasks in maintaining an Intermediate Care Facility.
Requirements for a Direct Support Professional
Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- NYS Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
