Position Summary
The Mobility Manager leads the planning, implementation, and oversight of innovative transportation programs to enhance mobility for clients, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, and low-income populations. This role focuses on coordinating mobility options, building community partnerships, and enhancing client satisfaction. The Mobility Manager serves as a liaison between the organization, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring transportation solutions meet diverse community needs while adhering to regulatory standards.
Role and Responsibilities
Community and Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, local governments, and transportation providers to promote collaboration.
- Act as a liaison to address gaps in transportation services and improve community mobility options
- Provide outreach and education to clients, agencies, and stakeholders on available transportation resources and how to access them.
- Serve as a public advocate for mobility management, presenting the benefits of improved transportation coordination to community leaders and stakeholders
- Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and transportation providers to expand service offerings.
- Partner with MDOT on mobility management improvements and program oversight
Program Oversight and Development
- Answer requests for services beyond PEX scope, assess client needs and identify travel options
- Establish a call line to provide real-time information and travel planning support
- Design and manage mobility programs to enhance transportation services for clients.
- Identify and implement innovative transportation solutions to improve accessibility and efficiency.
- Develop strategies to address transportation barriers for underserved populations.
- Spearhead initiatives to integrate emerging transportation technologies into mobility programs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes, incorporating best practices
- Identify funding opportunities and prepare grant applications to support mobility initiatives.
Training/Education
- Provide education to employees on alternative transportation options for out-of-scope inquiries
- Develop informational programs and materials on regional transportation options including learning guides on how to obtain a ride/use a transit system
Reporting
- Monitor and analyze program performance metrics, including service reliability, client satisfaction, and resource utilization.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting program outcomes and areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, service usage, and mobility program data.
- Ensure all mobility programs adhere to ADA requirements, Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations, and other relevant standards

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, a bachelor’s degree in bachelor’s degree in urban planning, Transportation Management, Public Administration, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation or related field
Certifications:
Other: Proficiency in transportation planning tools, data analysis software, and ITS technologies

Will be responsible for creation of all Job Descriptions, annual PDCA planning and employee evaluations for Direct Reports
