- Manage the organization's budget and annual planning related to development activities, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Write compelling proposals for funding opportunities and grant applications.
- Utilize digital marketing strategies to enhance outreach efforts, including social media management.
- Maintain accurate databases of donor information , gift processing and acknowlegments and track fundraising progress using appropriate software.
- Collaborate with volunteer groups such as the Board of Directors and Community Board to align fundraising initiatives with overall organizational objectives.
- Stay informed about trends in philanthropy, wills, trusts, estate law, and best practices in nonprofit management.
Experience
- Proven experience in fundraising, event planning, and proposal writing within a nonprofit environment.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management related to development activities.
- Familiarity with WordPress for website management and content updates.
- Experience in digital marketing strategies, particularly through social media platforms.
- Proficient in utilizing databases and software tools for donor management and tracking purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
