Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inspection Auditor to join our home inspection company. As an Inspection Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of inspection reports submitted by our home inspectors. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing claims reviews, which involve comparing home inspections to insurance claims inspections to ascertain existing damages and support legal proceedings if necessary. Your meticulousness and expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Inspection Reports: Carefully examine inspection reports submitted by home inspectors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Inspection Types: Handle a variety of inspection types, including four points, wind mitigations, opening protections, roof certifications, and inside/outside home inspections.
- Audit Outcome Presentation: Collaborate with the management team to present and review audit outcome results and analyses. Highlight areas of improvement and commend exemplary work.
- Corrective Action Plans: In conjunction with the management team, establish corrective action plans to address any documented quality deficiencies identified during the inspection report review process.
- Inspection-related Commentary: Provide expert commentary on inspection-related materials and transcribe notations based on thorough analysis of the work.
- Claims Review Program: Contribute to the development of our Claims Review program, which involves comparing open insurance claims with our inspection reports to determine the existence of pre-existing damages.
- Report Generation: Generate comprehensive reports on home inspectors, based on criteria such as the number of inspections rejected, identified mistakes, and overall performance.
- Constructive Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to home inspectors to enhance their performance and maintain high-quality standards in their work.
- Protocol and SOP Compliance: Ensure that all inspectors adhere to the established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the inspection process.
- Procedure Evaluation and Recommendations: Continuously evaluate existing operating procedures and recommend changes to the management team that optimize quality oversight and improve production activities.
- Customer Service: Engage in excellent customer service by communicating with agents and clients, explaining inspection reports, and advising them on outcomes. Address any questions or concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management team to support the efficient functioning of the home inspection company.
Qualifications:
- A strong background in home inspection or related fields is required.
- Proven experience in auditing, quality assurance, or a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills are essential for this position.
- Strong knowledge of various home inspection types and relevant standards is necessary.
