Job Description:
We are seeking a Java Backend Developer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our client, on an exciting and challenging project. As part of the development team, you will work on designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance backend services to support key Google applications and platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs using Java.
- Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and services to build cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Optimize performance and scalability of backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience with Java backend development, including building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services, such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
