Description
Position Title: Network Administrator II (WAN)
Location: Maxwell/Gunter Airforce Base, AL
Clearance level: Secret
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Analyzes and simulates network traffic to aid in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
- Monitors system utilization and circuit bandwidth then reports anomalies to Government team leads.
- Escalates complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators. Develop, execute, modify or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks.
- Reviews and documents all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate rework or for auditing/investigation purposes.
- Notifies appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.
- Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- 5 years experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
- Intermediate level understanding/experience with Enterprise network architectures and configurations is highly desired.
- Must possess a Secret Clearance.
- Must have at least one of the following:
- CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Service Provider
Desired Qualifications:
- One of the following is preferred:
- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Service Provider, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Collaboration
- Deep level of understanding/experience with enterprise level network architectures/configurations is required and Software Defined Networking (SDN) is desired.
