People USA is a peer-run mental health non-profit that creates, provides, and promotes its own innovative crisis response and wellness services. Being peer-run means that all our services are developed and operated by people who have personally overcome mental health issues, addiction, or trauma. This makes us a valuable addition and alternative to the traditional behavioral health care system.
The Vice President of Programs is a senior manager who leads the development and execution of People USA’s programs. The Vice President of Programs is primarily responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of all programs within the organization and ensuring they align with People USA’s strategic goals. The Vice President of Programs will manage Assistant Executive Directors, develop partnerships within the regions we serve, monitor program effectiveness, and report on key performance indicators, often working closely with the C-Suite and Executives. The Vice President of Programs will represent People USA on a local, regional, and national basis.
Job Duties :
- Strategic Planning – Contributing to the development and execution of the organization’s overall program strategy.
- Program Leadership – Managing program teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Budget Management – Overseeing program budgets and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Performance Monitoring – Tracking program outcomes and metrics to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Building relationships with funders, partners, and community stakeholders to support program goals.
- Reporting and Communication – Regularly communicating program progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Involvement with Internal Committees – Participation in Data, Green Behavioral Health, and Wellness Committee Initiatives.
