The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description · Design, implement, and oversee a State Operations (SO) DEI Training Plan to meet DEI needs within the Division of State Operations.· Lead SO Statewide Implementation of Train-the-Trainer initiatives through coordination of DSO DEI training related events statewide.· Conduct and deliver specialized and expert DEI related trainings within State Operations.· Audit training sessions to ensure staff competency and provide feedback for their development, ensuring the quality of the training meets the standards and expectations and/or fidelity of that training program.· Oversee the integration of OPWDD Agency DEI information and resources, and Division of State Operations DEI within the training staff as needed.· Design, create, and analyze DEI related reports and data that can inform the impact of DEI training and supports to the field.· Regularly attend OPWDD Agency DEI Office meetings and trainings.· Supervise a team of lower-level professionals and perform the most sensitive and difficult diversity and inclusion, and equal opportunity activities. · Plan work schedules, projects, and reviews; and assign and train staff.· Evaluate staff performance; determine training needs; and advise individuals about performance standards and how to meet them.· Provide regular portfolio updates to the OPWDD DEI Officer. · Lead an interdisciplinary Community of Practice meeting for trainers and ensure best practices are implemented consistently statewide. · Design surveys to elicit information about the quality, impact and effectiveness of DSO DEI efforts and initiatives. The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Non-CompetitiveNine years of the experience* in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, or human rights. At least two years of the experience must have been at a supervisory level; OR one year of State service in an equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, minority business, employment compliance, human resources, or training positionallocated at or above Grade 23. *Qualifying experience includes working with organizations concerned with equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, civil rights, minority business development, or similar programs; or in recruiting, training, and upgrading the educational and job qualifications of protected class members. Substitutions: associate’s degree may substitute for two years of the nonsupervisory experience; bachelor’s degree for four years; and J.D. or master’s degree for five years
