What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR HUD position at PeopleInc?
Pay Rate: $23.00-$25.06
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as customer service / support for Senior Living and DD sites.
• Act as a Support Contact for Affordable Housing software issues (requires communication with vendor technical support as well as Site Managers).
• Completing month-end entries for Senior Living and DD sites.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for HUD Entities and follow up on outstanding items to ensure all transactions have been recorded.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation and journal entries pertaining to the gross potential rent, vacancy loss, accounts receivable, accounts payable, miscellaneous income, miscellaneous expense and other accounts as needed.
• Processing, reconciling and billing of tenant vouchers
• Process Annual Recertifications (AR) for DD sites– requires communication with the site managers to compile information needed for compliance with HUD regulations.
• Assist in move-in and move-out certification for DD sites – requires communication with the site managers to compile information needed for compliance with HUD regulations.
• Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIIFICATIONS
Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma and 5 years of full-time experience in accounting or bookkeeping
OR
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3 years of full-time experience in accounting or bookkeeping
OR
• High School Diploma and 5 years of full-time experience in HUD
OR
• Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years full time experience in HUD
OR
• Equivalent combination of training and experience.

• Working knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office package, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook also a plus
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities
