Set-Up Technician
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Elgin within the manufacturing industry.
We are looking for a friendly passionate person to join a great team as a Set-Up Technician. A charismatic person that loves to be detail orientated organize, punctual, and working in industrial environment.
Set-Up Technician Job Summary :
2nd shift - Press Set up Technician
Payrate -$20 -$25ph based on experience
Hours - 3 : 00pm - 12 : 15am M-F (Some OT) Must be flexible with schedule.
Plastic injection molding experience a must
Forklift Experience preferred
Bilingual preferred but not required.
Temp to Hire
Special Circumstances of the Job : In the absence of a Foreman, will be required to perform their duties. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be willing to work over-time.
Set-Up Technician Job Duties, Functions, Responsibilities :
Trouble shoots problems as they arise on the floor. Ensures that jobs conform to specifications on Work Orders (i.e. correct material, proper regrind ratios). Notifies Foreman of machinery problems. Ensures that work stations and surrounding areas are clean. Perform operator's jobs during breaks if required. Sets and removes molds. Performs start-up and cycling-in of molds. Ensures that all necessary documentation is posted at press. Completes set-up checklists. Maintains mold racks.
Set-Up Technician Quality Responsibilities :
Must be involved in quality activities and participate on quality improvement teams. Completes all quality training offered by the company. Submits quality improvement ideas. Responsible for insuring that all jobs on his shift meet the customer specifications and Quality System requirements. Must be aware of and follow all safety procedures.
Results Expected : Reduction of mold downtime.
Set-Up Technician Qualifications :
Two years' experience in set-up and troubleshooting injection molding machines.
Must possess the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions.
Must possess the ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
Must be able to safely operate die cart and forklift.
Must be able to work on a team and get along with others.
