Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a CNC Lathe Programmer / Operator in partnership with a prominent client in Endicott, NY areas.
Summary
Shift : 1st
Salary : $18-$25 per hour based on experience.
Job Duties :
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to determine proper cutting tools, speeds, and feed rates.
- Generate or edit part programs that meet production objectives for optimum cost, quality, speed, throughout, and on-time customer deliveries.
- Start an set up machines based on set up sheets, ensuring you are checking displays to detect any malfunctions.
- Review orders and drawings to determine specifications.
- Enter commands to computer, ensuring to title and save programs as well as retrieve stored data and programs.
- Mount and align cutting tools. Monitor machine functions, such as cutting depth, feed rate, and coolant flow, to ensure quality and prevent damage.
- Load and unload products, ensuring correct orientation of the product being placed in machinery at all times.
- Stop machine and make adjustments to settings and tools as needed to maintain accuracy and optimal cutting conditions.
- Regularly inspect workpieces using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Accurately complete all paperwork according to company policy.
- Perform machine maintenance as required.
