Mowing Technician

Job Summary:
Peoplelink Staffing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the position of Mowing Technician. This role is responsible for maintaining public right-of-ways, medians, and other municipal properties by performing mowing and landscaping duties. The ideal candidate will ensure these areas are safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mowing equipment such as zero-turn mowers, tractors, and push mowers to maintain designated areas.

• Trim grass, weeds, and overgrown vegetation using weed eaters, trimmers, and similar tools.

• Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

• Safely load, transport, and unload equipment to and from job sites.

• Remove debris, litter, and fallen branches from work areas before and after mowing operations.

• Collaborate with the Streets team to complete landscaping or maintenance projects as assigned.

• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of self, coworkers, and the public.

• Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the Streets Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or mowing is a plus.

• Familiarity with operating and maintaining landscaping tools and equipment.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Basic mechanical skills to perform routine equipment maintenance.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work.

• Valid driver's license required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in outdoor environments exposed to sun, rain, and other weather conditions.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

Compensation:

• Hourly wage starting at $13.75 per hour
