Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is excited to partner with a top manufacturer of automotive glass products is seeking a qualified training process technician for a direct hire on 1st shift. We’re looking for a motivated and reliable training process technician to join the team on 1st shift!

Job Overview : The Training Process Technician acts as the subject matter expert for all training processes where assigned. Primary duties include developing engaging and effective training, driving professional development programs, coordinating and conducting plant and site-specific training and providing support for annual training initiatives. This role requires a thorough understanding of business and customer standards, work instructions, and equipment operation to ensure that Production operators are properly trained.

What You’ll Do :

Develop, conduct and document training of new and existing plant employees
Update training completion matrixes as required
Actively participate in all customer mandated and internal audits as directed
Monitor and assess training and job performance activities to identify improvement opportunities to the training process
Provide feedback to plant Production and HR management regarding modifications or procedural changes to the training processes
Continuously review and update onboarding processes, new hire orientations, certifications and training related programs as required
Perform quality checks as required
Collaborate with Supervisors and Operator while monitoring the progress of trainees during the training process and communicate adjustments to the program as needed
Develop and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
Develop and refine standardize work, One Point Lessons, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures
Collaborate with plant leadership to facilitate Kaizen events
Train and recertify Powered Lift truck operators

What We’re Looking For :

High School diploma or GED required

3-5 years of experience on a Glass Tempering and Lamination line preferred

Serve as a champion to implement the systematic approach to training plant-wide

IATF 16929 experience preferred, but not required

Forklift and / or Powerlift Truck certified

Demonstrated understanding of all manufacturing production processes with specific production lines

Demonstrated understanding of both the mechanical and functional operation of production equipment

Understanding of required PPE, lock out / tag out procedures and e-stops

Excellent attendance, attitude, and decision-making skills

Must be able to work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays

Basic level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis

Ability to lead by strong work ethic

Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and goals

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with all employees at all levels

Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and Trust

Ability to lift up to 100lbs on occasion and frequent lifting of up to 50lbs.

Ability to stand, walk, bend at the waist & neck, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist at the waist & neck, grasp with both hands, pushing & pulling, and reaching above shoulder level.

Full-time schedule : 1st Shift : 6 : 30am – 3pm

Perfect Attendance Bonus : $2.00 / hr

Sign On Bonus : $1,500

Benefits : Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with 5% match, 2 weeks’ vacation (prorated for 1st year), steel toe reimbursement up to $110, company provided uniform shirts and PPE.

Opportunity for growth within the company. Increases to up to $26.25 / hr based on knowledge & growth in role.
