PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for a facilities technician for Pacific Shipyard in Honolulu, HI. Must have a TWIC or be able to obtain work a TWIC card. Must have a valid drivers license. Must be available to work the night shift and work weekends in rotation. Facilities technicans monitors access to the facility to control traffic to and from property. Opens gate to allow entrance or exit of authorized individuals. Checks equipment and buildings for signs of intrusion, fire, or damage and contacts authorities as required. Assist the Facilities department with maintenance and light repairs on assigned equipment and facilities. Ensure that facility grounds are well maintained by performing routine landscaping, weed whacking and general maintenance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and light repairs on assigned equipment and facilities
- Identify and report any major repairs
- Perform routine landscaping on the facility grounds and weed whacking when needed.
- Forklift certification or able to obtain certification.
- Take initiative to improve the appearance of equipment and facilities.
- Work with little or no supervision.
- Able to write an incident report.
- Patrol the premises to ensure all equipment and spaces are in good working order (not to exceed every two hours).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
