PeopleReady Skilled Trades is now hiring for an experienced fiberglass technician for a yacht company in Honolulu, HI. This is a contract job for about 3 months or longer. A fiberglass technician for boats repairs and maintains fiberglass components of boats and other watercraft.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing and replacing boat hulls, floors, stringers, transoms, and ski lockers
- Filling cracks and gouges
- Sanding, shaping, and fairing surfaces
- Applying gel coat and paint
- Mixing resins, glass fibers, and fillers
- Using a variety of tools, including drills, grinders, and sanders
- Following blueprints and drawings
- Reapplying gel coating to boat hulls and decks
Skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of marine fiberglass techniques
- Experience with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resin
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Physical strength and stamina
- Teamwork skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
