As Brick Mason with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support a General Contractor in the Cleveland, Texas area. - Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30 am tart. 8 hrs/day | OT as needed – possible Saturday
- Assist in the cleanup and reconstruction of exterior brick wall of commercial building.
- Clean-up to include salvaging any useable materials and then clearing the damaged ones.
- Read blueprints and calculate required materials.
- Mark location of the wall and establish reference points using chalk lines, plumb bobs and levels.
- Mix materials to prepare mortar and ensure It is the correct consistency
- Cut bricks as needed using salvageable materials for corners and openings using a brick hammer or power cutter.
- Lay brick using mortar and trowel, ensuring alignment in the designated pattern, using techniques and processes for brick laying.
- Complete all finishing steps by removing excess mortar from the face of the bricks and cleaning up work area and remove debris.
- your own tools Grout trowel, Drill, Grout mixing bits, five-gallon bucket, Plum-bob, level, all personal PPE.
Be at least 18 years of age
Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial brick laying.
Ability to bring the full list of tools to the job site daily.

Prior experience using power tools REQUIRED; such as a power cutter to cut bricks.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Position may require a drug screen
OSHA-10 Certification is a plus, but not required.
