Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Sandblaster/Painters to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or finishing by using sandblasting techniques & finishing surfaces with Proper coatings. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of various materials, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Sandblaster will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality finishes on construction projects.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA Basic is a plus can be provided if you have verifiable experience
  • Drug and Background policies of each site must be adhered to as needed.
  • Respirator testing and compliance with safety for each site worked is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces.
  • Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, and other contaminants.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Apply knowledge of color theory and construction painting techniques to achieve desired finishes.
  • Maintain an organized work area and adhere to cleanliness standards.
  • Assist in estimating project needs and timelines as required.
  • Select the appropriate paint or mix paints according to pre-determined formula and in accordance with contract specifications
  • Disassembles paint and sandblasting equipment; cleans equipment, using solvent, wire brushes, dry cloths, etc.
  • Operate various types of equipment such as blast pots and spray guns.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sandblasting or related fields such as construction painting or masonry. Prefeered 2 years of commercial or industrial sandblasting/painting experience.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
  • Familiarity with concrete finishing and frame carpentry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of color theory and its application in construction painting is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have reliable transportation

The hourly rate for this position is up to $25/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
