Responsibilities
- Develop Structural designs, analysis, and drawings
- Coordinate with other design disciplines and owners / developers
- Manage communications with clients and design partners
- Organize Structural construction support activities
- Coach junior engineering staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering. Master’s degree is a plusMinimum of three years of experience in Structural Engineering design, with up to six years preferredCalifornia State Professional Engineer (PE) license. Virginia State Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plusProficiency in Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete, Unistrut, Building Design, Building Retrofits, Building Analysis, Equipment Anchorage, Utilities Bracing and Wind Design. Working knowledge of Timber Design, Masonry Design, Cold-Formed Steel Design, Finite Elements and Seismic DesignProficiency in industry software, namely RISA-3D, Bluebeam and Office / Microsoft 365. Working knowledge of ETABS, SAP or RAMProficiency in buildings codes, namely ACI 318, AISC 360, ASCE 7 and IBC. Working knowledge of AISC 341 and NDSExperience in managing engineering workflows and tasksProficiency in English. Other languages are a plusValid US Driver’s License in good standingAbility to travel to meetings and to job sites within the United StatesCompensation and Benefits
