ROLE
This position is responsible for providing operational support to the Trust and Farm Management Departments and their clients. This support is provided by completing daily tasks related to trust operation functions, including account opening and closing; daily depository functions; posting, maintaining, and processing asset, cash, security, and farm-related transactions; processing mail; document management; account balancing; statement processing; as well as other various daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual tasks and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible for the following functions:
• Complete all aspects of daily balancing
• Process daily transactions associated with client accounts including, but not limited to, wires, ACH, balancing, bill payment, security transactions, income transactions, fee processing and cash sweep
• Scan and index documents as appropriate
• Process mail
• Receive and direct all department incoming calls
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers either by telephone or in-person
• Read and interpret a variety of documents
• Monitor overdraft activity for customer accounts
• Post and balance consolidated security investment accounts
• Process monthly interest, fees, and investment statements
• Assemble monthly customer statements
• Account opening, maintenance, and closing
• Create and write new procedures/processes as needed
• Generate various reports for auditors and examiners when necessary
• Prepare and review tax forms
• Provide general administrative support within the department as needed
Various other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of fiduciary best practices and/or legal requirements related to bookkeeping and/or investment security
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 years banking, bookkeeping, and/or investment security experience preferred
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, selfmotivation, self-management, ability to consistently follow through on tasks, problem-solving, organized, analytical, interpersonal, time management, computer literacy and strong ability to multi-task
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
TALKING: Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly
AVERAGE HEARING: Ability to hear average conversations at a standard level in an office environment around other customers and bank personnel
REPETITIVE MOTION: The employee is regularly required to type throughout the day
FINGER DEXTERITY: The employee is regularly required to use their hands to type and maneuver a mouse
AVERAGE VISION: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts)
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (unassisted) as well as stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and sit for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS
General professional office environment with climate control. Adequate lighting. Occasional additional hours outside of regular bank service hours to complete tasks.
