We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Technician to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining buried cable systems, as well as performing related construction tasks. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of telephone line construction processes and RUS practices and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain direct buried cable by hand digging and operating plowing, digging and trenching equipment.
- Maintain buried cable by testing and repairing cable.
- Perform related construction tasks as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience plus one (1) year of experience in telephone plant operations, construction and/or equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of telephone line construction process.
- Knowledge of RUS practices and standards.
