Marine Service Coordinator Job Details :
- Schedule : Mon-Fri, 7AM-3PM
- Pay Rate : up to $25 / hr paid weekly!
- Serve as the main liaison between ship personnel and service technicians, ensuring accurate communication of service needs.
- Receive and process service requests, dispatching technicians efficiently based on urgency, location, and expertise.
- Use ship-specific terminology (e.g., galley, head, aft, stern) to facilitate effective interactions with crew members.
- Maintain schedules, work orders, and service records to track progress and ensure timely completion.
- Provide troubleshooting support and guidance over the phone or via email as needed.
- Coordinate logistics for technician travel, service scheduling, and parts shipments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols for onboard work.
- Build strong relationships with ship personnel, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Prior experience in the maritime industry or ship operations and familiarity with ship terminology / onboard workflows is essential.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple service requests at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solve in time-sensitive situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and service management tools.
- Experience in technical service coordination or dispatching is a plus.
