Project Cost Control Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Control Lead to support our project management team in driving financial efficiency and project success. In this role, you will take ownership of cost control, forecasting, variance analysis, change management, and risk management to ensure projects remain on budget and aligned with business objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of cost control reports while developing and implementing robust cost-monitoring strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis to ensure financial transparency.
- Analyze project cost overruns/underruns and provide insightful reports for project management.
- Maintain and improve cost control procedures while ensuring compliance with client and corporate policies.
- Interface with estimating and cost control teams to validate and assess cost reports.
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and cost baselines, ensuring timely identification and resolution of deviations.
- Oversee the management of change process, including change orders and change logs to capture cost impacts.
- Establish and implement effective progress measurement methods tailored to project size and complexity.
- Track key project deliverables, assign budgets, and monitor progress against control points.
- Provide detailed reporting on incurred costs, physical progress, forecasts to completion, and key project milestones.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost control processes and financial oversight.
