Scope of Position
Our client is hiring a VP of Sales / Marketing and Business Development. You will use your experience in the consumer health and wellness industry to lead Sales, Marketing, and Business Development activities and drive growth for the company's Private Label and OTC branded products.
Responsibilities
- Sales
- Provide oversight of and liaise with external sales brokers to maintain and expand distribution of the company's products.
- Prepare sales presentations.
- Identify private label opportunities. Work with the company's Finance and Operations to develop proposals and win opportunities to provide private label supply to retailers.
- Marketing
- Develop and implement efficient and strategic marketing plans for the company's branded products based on consumer insights and market trends.
- Select and manage agencies for creative development and media placement across various channels, including digital, social media, content marketing, email, and traditional advertising.
- Evaluate marketing campaign results and adjust accordingly.
- Develop and implement efficient marketing plans to represent the company to Retailers.
- Establish and maintain a strong network of relationships in the industry to represent the company's contract packaging services to consumer healthcare and nutritional supplement companies.
- Work with the company's Finance and Operations to develop product forecasts.
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue opportunities for the company to expand its branded product line via line extensions or new products.
- Lead due diligence on product acquisition opportunities in collaboration with the company's Management Team.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for the company to provide contract packaging services to consumer healthcare and nutritional supplement companies.
- Oversee the department budget.
- Deliver all assigned work on time.
- Acknowledge and respond to colleague and customer communications in a timely fashion.
- Attend onsite team and customer meetings and training and travel per customer requests and work needs.
- Work independently with minimal oversight.
- Communicate with internal project leadership every week to provide status reports and troubleshoot when necessary.
- Execute project deliverables, meet milestones, and drive projects to completion.
- Meet or exceed project goals to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Other duties may be assigned.
