PeopleTec is currently seeking a Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
PeopleTec is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer to join our team! In this position you will fill a senior role in MDA’s System Design and Specification directorate and will support the implementation and execution of a disciplined systems engineering process to produce System-level technical documents necessary to establish the basis for MDA Program Office subsystem engineering.
Duties:
- Provide support to the development, management, and planning for current and future missile defense capabilities
- Provide senior-level support to the definition, management, and execution of requirements traceability; allocation of MDA Technical Core Standards adherence planning
- Provide leadership of the MDA Engineering Requirements Group
- Foster collaborative engineering technical interchanges across the MDA engineering community for requirements development
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- Technical expertise supporting government and contracting staff in systems and digital engineering
- Experience in MBSE tools (CAMEO), principles, and methodologies for development, requirements, design, and analysis of architectures in complex DoD projects
- Experience in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as they relates to missile defense, specifically related to the functional portion of the system
- Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations on the development, addition, variances, and changes to functional requirements as well as providing quality checks on technical documentation and products
- Senior-level experience in document development, presentations, change requests, and other engineering products
- Experience with interacting and supporting high level government customers (Senior NH-4 director-level and above)
- Understanding of Industry/DoD engineering best practices, complemented with mature communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have a minimum of an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a STEM field with a minimum 12 years of experience.
Desired Skills:
- INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification
- Previous MDA experience
- Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes
- Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals
