Opportunity
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
PeopleTec has a need for a Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineering support at Systems Simulation Software and Integration (S3I) developing a mission system for the Army’s fixed-wing platforms and maturing the testing environment. Familiarity with system test, avionic busses, computer networking, data distribution, modeling and simulation is desired. The ideal candidate will have skills in integration and test of complex software intensive computing systems applicable to laboratory and test environments.
Duties:
- Assist in the integration and testing of hardware and software for evaluation and certification of modifications to commercial and military tactical avionics for Special Electronic Mission Aircraft (SEMA)
- Aid in the development of test and demonstration plans and procedures for software requirement specifications (SRS)
- Maintain individual and team knowledge of software architecture, computer networking, avionics, communications systems, and interoperability standards
- Work in an AGILE environment
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 9 years of related work experience in systems and software integration which includes design, implementation, and test
- Direct experience with aviation hardware
- Familiarity with commercial and military tactical ground and aviation radios including PRC radios, ARC-210 gen 6, STTs, Link16
- Knowledge and experience with radio frequency (RF) co-site measurement and antenna placement on various ground planes including aircraft
- Experience producing test reports
- Demonstrated self-starter with strong interpersonal communications
- Good written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Travel: Approximately 10%.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required upon hire with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of a B.S. degree; Four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
