Software Architect

Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Architect to support our Huntsville, AL location.

We are seeking a Software Architect interested in joining an award-winning company and working with cutting-edge missile defense modeling and simulation technologies. The selected candidate will be a member of a dynamic Huntsville-based team providing technical leadership on state-of-the-art system-of-systems frameworks. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Duties Include:

• Identifying technical issues and coordinating across the program on resolution
• Coordinating closely with development, test, and integration teams and reporting status
• Working with SW Chief Architect to plan and execute an integrated system solution
• Creating and updating SysML diagrams for architecture solutions
• Collaborating with MDA to manage requirements and design considerations
• Providing SW guidance to agile development teams

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• C and Java agile software design and development
• Object-oriented architectures and design
• Design artifacts generation in UML/SysML using Enterprise Architect, Cameo, or similar tools to create class, sequence of events, and activity diagrams
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in related discipline with 8 years professional experience in Systems Administration; OR Master’s degree with 7 years professional experience; OR PhD with 4 years professional experience

• Data links and comms
• Open Mission Systems architectures
• Integrated Development Environments including debugger tools, networking, requirements generation, and systems interface development
• Agile processes and tools, e.g., VersionOne, Jira, etc.
• Requirements generation and system interface development
• UML design documentation
• XML technologies for configuration and run-time messaging including schema (XSD) and transformations (XSLT)
• Linux operating system
• Configuration tools, e.g., Git/GitLab, etc.
• System requirements decomposition and System Design Documents decomposition
