What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stadium Operation Intern position at Peoria Chiefs?
Summary:
The Stadium Operations Intern will be responsible for assisting the Director of Stadium Operations in general facility maintenance, repair and upkeep of the stadium. This is a seasonal internship to gain knowledge and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Stadium Operations Intern will be responsible for assisting the Director of Stadium Operations in general facility maintenance, repair and upkeep of the stadium. This is a seasonal internship to gain knowledge and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be available to work all 66 home games and other outside events as scheduled outside normal work week
- Prepping the stadium the open gates and securing the stadium upon completion of game as required
- Complete Safety Walks
- Construction, plumbing, and troubleshooting as needed
- Stadium Seating replacement
- Assisting in electrical and HVAC as needed
- Replace lighting fixtures and bulbs as needed
- Drive equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, maintenance cart, etc..
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Painting
- Cleaning
- In the event of inclement weather, will be asked to assist as necessary for the protection and preperation of the facility
- Other duties assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- General maintenance knowledge
- Previous maintenance experience
- Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, holidays
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to be off the ground to heights of up to 200 ft
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- HVAC certification preferred (not required)
