Job Description Summary
With minimal guidance, plans and manages program operations; supervises employees engaged in providing comprehensive clinic operations, and all aspects of population health for the Health Department. Assumes primary responsibility for providing general medical care and treatment to clinic patients within the context of the Peoria City/County Health Department standing orders. Independently, conducts complex statistical analysis and reporting within established time frames. Fulfills a critical role in evaluating public health outcomes for community health improvement initiatives and outcome measurement.
Documented evidence of completion of a Bachelor of Nursing with 5 full-time years of work experience or Masters of Nursing with 2 full-time years of work experience.. Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse within the State of IL by the Department of Professional Regulation is required. Additionally, requires an unrestricted and valid Professional Registered Nurse license. Ability to make independent clinical judgment. Must possess detailed knowledge of applicable statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to the program area. Must have prior program management experience, including planning and budgeting. Must have excellent decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time. Knowledge and ability to utilize computers and related technology efficiently, including but not limited to: Windows-based operating systems; Microsoft Office software such as Word, Outlook, and Excel; Presentation software such as PowerPoint and Canva; and program specific software as necessary. Familiarity with collaboration software such as SharePoint is preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with the media and in front of large groups of diverse people. Writes memos, standing orders, and other reports. Prepares spreadsheets for data collection and analysis. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical Journals and various documents. Must possess effective interpersonal communication skills. Must have ability to develop positive internal and external working relationships. Must have a valid Illinois driver's license, proof of liability insurance and access to reliable transportation. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ensures compliance with mandated record retention of all documentation
