Description
Duties: Under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager, the Gwynn Family Aquatic Center – Cashier is responsible for the following:
- Performing cash handling transactions, registrations, and answering phones.
- Performing general cleaning duties.
- Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed; supporting all aspects of the Park District’s safety program.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions: The work requires some physical exertion in handling supplies, equipment, and materials. Prolonged standing, bending, and stooping, and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds are required on a periodic basis. The programmed activities involve everyday risks, which require normal safety precautions typical of the recreation industry.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of two years of high school.
Experience: Experience working with computers or a point-of-sale program is preferred. Proficient with cash handling.
Knowledge and Ability:
- Ability to manage money between transactions.
- Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers.
- Aptitude for on-the-job training and ability to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers.
