Reports to: Project Director 


Primary function: The Lead PRSS (LP) is responsible for the supervision related to all cases assigned to PRSS’s with the Tribal 988 Mobile Crisis Unit and will act as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and support for PRSS on treatment teams. The (LP) will work closely with the LADC and PRSS to oversee and monitor the case management activities of all clients receiving services from the Peoria Crisis Prevention Program. This position will serve as the PRSS team’s mentor by training, track outcomes, collect and report data, run the mobile crisis unit and create community partnerships with tribal communities.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • A (LP) should exhibit excellent communication skills. 
  • Lead PRSS will guide and lead forensic PRSS in developing resources for building a reentry protocol.
  • Lead PRSS will address and promote what to address in the event of PEER Relapse and create relapse prevention plan.
  • Assists with Peer’s in articulating personal goals and objectives needed to reach their goals.
  • Must document accurately and in a timely manner through progress notes, treatment plans and follow-up contacts according to the policies and procedures.
  • Make engagement attempts with clients in various community settings, including PEER’s homes, shelters, prisons, jails and collaborate with other case managers in warm handoffs for Peer’s re-entering society.
  • Helps Peers to recognize and utilize their own strengths, skills, talents, and abilities to increase the Peer’s independence and self-sufficiency in the community.
  • Provide a full array of services, including service that guide the course of client treatment through various levels of care. Including, but not limited to the following: intake appointments scheduling, review of treatment history, arrange and attend case coordination meetings with client.
  • They work with patients to determine needs and evaluate interventions. 
  • Peer Supervisor possesses leadership qualities needed to guide individuals of varying backgrounds towards a common goal for the betterment of a PEER’s health and quality of life. 


Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Developing and coordinating health care programs 
  • Communicating between staff, patients, and family
  • Handling patient case management and education
  • Recruiting and training staff and creating schedules 
  • Developing patient goals and monitoring progress
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and quality care
  • Demonstrates personal knowledge in advocacy in recovery. 


Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • This position requires that the applicant is currently certified as a Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Current case management certification from the ODMHSAS Must or able to obtain within 60 days of employment.
  • 2 years of PRSS experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all peers protected health information and adhere to all HIPPA related policies and procedures.
  • Certification as a WRAP facilitator preferred
