Qualifications : Application Procedures : Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online Band Safety course Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online Concussion in Sports What You Need to Know course Current Certification in CPR or Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online CPR and AED training course Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online Heat Illness Prevention course An Arizona Teaching Certificate, Arizona Coaching Certificate OR content area related degree Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules and safety concerns for the Performing Arts Activity to be coached Skill in communicating with all stakeholders In depth knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by ABODA () and Peoria Unified School District #11 and to advise staff as needed of rules Attendance of mandatory school district meetings and aligned trainings
OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
- Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
- Registration at National Federation of State High School Associations ( ) for training
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver’s license as driving students to and from competitions may be required.
- May be required to work outside normal working hours
- May be required to travel to perform work functions
- Must establish a sense of comradery among our students through teambuilding, fundraising, service projects, etc.
