What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parent Portal Coordinator position at Peoria Unified School District?
- Maintains and updates Parent Portal & System Management App. Provides customer service to parents with regards to operating and downloading the Parent Portal App.
- Updates and allows permissions Parent Portal Lite for all school administrators & staff members at all the school sites.
- Coordinates and maintains the Bus Rider Registration App to ensure qualified registered students receive appropriate transportation services.
- Communicates to PUSD community on a daily basis regarding bus number changes, bus schedules and calendar reminders.
- Trainer and 1st line supervision for the van drivers in the Mc Kinney Vento Program.
- Mc Kinney Vento route scheduler. Consistently maintains, creates, and provides unique and specialized transportation services for McKinney Vento student population with the use of transportation specialized software.
- Works collaboratively with bus drivers, school staff and parents. Helps address and solve transportation issues that may arise.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) to three (3) years experience in a pupil transportation setting which may include some experience using a computerized routing and scheduling system.
- OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable Peoria Unified School District and departmental policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access are required Working effectively as a member of a team and applying consensus decision making techniques.
- Knowledge of Samsara GPS, Edulog System Management, and Edulog Routing Software.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three (3) years experience in a pupil transportation setting which may include experience using a computerized routing and scheduling system.
- OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background check
- May be required to work outside normal working hours
- Must have at the time of application and must maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
- Must obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- May be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, hazardous chemicals and fumes and infectious diseases.
- May be required to lift and\or transfer special needs students weighing up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to lift or carry heavy, bulky supplies, materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to travel to perform work functions
