Job Summary
We are immediately seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team at our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and dental staff. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our dental office while providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
- Manage patient records, including updating personal information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Process insurance claims and handle medical billing using Meditech software.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding to ensure accurate billing and documentation of services provided.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
- Assist in preparing care plans in collaboration with dental professionals as needed.
- Provide support to the dental team with administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a clinic setting is preferred but not manditory. We are willing to train the right personality.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in dentistry, is essential.
- Proficiency in medical billing processes and experience with Meditech software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding practices is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
