Job Description
The Culinary Center Labeler is an essential team member responsible for accurately labeling fresh, homestyle food products to ensure they meet quality, safety, and customer standards. Labelers work hand in hand with the production line, ensuring accurate packaging and labeling of fresh food menu items while supporting Pepi Foods commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the Floor Lead and Culinary Center Manager, embodying Pepis core valuesServe Others, Do It Right, and Be The Bestin all tasks.
- Apply labels to individual-serving food products with precision, ensuring proper placement, alignment, and adherence to packaging standards. Verify label information, including product names and expiration dates, matches production records and recipes.
- Ensure product presentation meets Pepis high standards for customer satisfaction.
Stewardship
- Work efficiently to meet daily output goals while maintaining attention to detail.
- Report production metrics to the Culinary Center Manager as required.
- Report any equipment or supply issues to the Floor Lead
Compliance
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment.
- Complete post-production cleanup of kitchen areas, ensuring all workstations, tools, and equipment are sanitized and properly stored.
- Adhere to personnel safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for self and team members.

Job Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a bonus but not required.
Food Handlers Certification (e.g., ServSafe Food Handler) required within 30 days of hire.
Experience:
6 months experience of cooking in a busy kitchen or in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
Stand and work in a kitchen for 810 hours. Lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., food supplies). Handle heat and kitchen tools comfortably.
Salary : $12 - $16
