What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Ambassador/Fitness Center Attendant position at Peppermill Resort Hotel?
The Pool Ambassador/Fitness Center Attendant will be responsible for the daily operations of the Fitness Center and Pool areas to ensure that quality and service standards are met.
Duties:
- Provide coverage to pool and/or fitness area as scheduled.
- Keep the pool and fitness area clean and free of debris.
- Work in assigned locations/ rotations to assist guests.
- Work in assigned locations/rotations to clean trash, dirty towels and any other debris to keep locations neat, clean and organized.
- Clean fitness center to standards. This includes dusting, mopping, organizing, wiping all areas including restroom, locker areas, steam and saunas.
- Clean pool deck and areas to standard. This includes picking up dirty towels, food trays, spilled food, drinks, straws and any debris to keep the pool deck clean.
- Open and close towel desk, pool and fitness areas per policy.
- Assist guests with sales and bookings of cabanas.
- Stock, clean and give appropriate customer service to cabanas, towel desk, fitness and pool areas.
- Assist guests with purchases, utilizing knowledge of price and selection of goods on hand.
- Fold and stock pool and fitness towels as needed.
- Assist with training of new hires.
- Assist guests who use the pool lifts.
Qualifications:
- Basic fitness and pool knowledge a plus.
- CPR and first aid recommended, but not required.
- Minimum lifting of 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
