What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard - Summer Camp Pool position at Peppermint Tree Child Development Center?
Bring your smile and your lifeguarding skills to our summer camp which has an inground wading pool and "big" pool. Our campers, ages 2.5 years - 10 years of age swim daily in small groups, by age, as a part of Summer Camp. While keeping the pool safe is the primary job, our lifeguards must love young children!
The lifeguard is responsible for
- Teaching pool safety rules to campers
- Monitoring the pool area, in and around the water
- Enforcing safety rules and following regulations
- Testing the pool water in between swim periods
- Cleaning and sanitizing
- Pool maintenance tasks (only while no swimmers are in the pool)
- Pool closing duties and safety checks

Requirements:
- Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross, YMCA, or American Aquatics and Safety Training)- or can show proof of registration in renewal or certification class
- At least 18 years of age
- Available to work Mon-Fri, 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., June 27- August 6, 20212
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
