Custodian

Job Summary:

A Custodian is responsible for addressing the cleanliness of the facility including restrooms, breakrooms, and outside grounds. Their duties include overall cleanliness and stocking of materials throughout the facility. The Custodian is responsible for following GMPs and will report to the Manager of Custodial Services.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Cleaning of facilities outside (pick up trash, empty trash receptacles, add chemicals to ant piles).

· Keeps chemical rooms clean and in order.

· Removes trash from the facility on regular basis as needed.

· Assures all hand soap and towel dispenser are full and in working order.

· Completes proper paperwork for daily GMP checks.

· Assures all restrooms, break rooms, offices, and labs are swept and mopped at the scheduled time.

· Clean drains and buckets daily or as needed.

· Pressure wash loading and unloading dock areas.

· Sanitize all personal contact surfaces (time clock, doorknobs, tables, walls, mailboxes, restrooms, etc.).

· Sweep and dust warehouse floors, exits, emergency lighting, and pick up trash.

· Follow and maintain all GMP rules and regulations.

· Conveys supplies needed to Sanitation Supervisor.

· Change air conditioner filters according to set schedule.

· Clean spider webs around the facility.

· Assists with laundry management (washing and drying).

· May be required to fill in during the absence of another employee in the housekeeping department.

· Compacts plastic, paper goods in bailer and tie, notifying forklift operators to remove for pickup.

· Inform proper personnel of non-compliance issues.

· Protect equipment and report any damage to supervisor.

· Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proficient in basic arithmetic.

· Ability to mix cleaners at the correct ratio for cleaning tasks.

· Work with others in a team building setting to maintain a high level of cleanliness.

· Capable of multitasking.

· Maintain safe work area.

Physical Requirements:

· Bending and stooping.

· Lifting 25 lbs.

· Climbing steps and ladders occasionally.

· Standing for extended periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
