Sanitation Technician

PNB has a Sanitation Technician position available under our QC Department at the Tumwater plant. This position is responsible for various tasks associated with cleaning production equipment and general work area. Responsibilities will involve internal and external sanitation duties to include cleaning, maintaining blending, filling equipment to ensure product quality and equipment reliability, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and utilizing cleaning devices and agents to sanitize the general work environment.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Perform various cleaning and organizing duties as assigned
• Maintain all safety standards
• Use of cleaning devices and/ or chemical agents to sanitize production equipment or environment
• May operate vehicles such as floor scrubber or forklift in execution of duties
• Ensures efficient line function and food-safe line equipment conditions through good sanitation techniques.
• Demonstrate safe use of all chemicals from receipt, storage, transfer, and use
• Solid understanding of CIP procedures and system troubleshooting

Job Eligibility Criteria:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, and fast paced.
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including, wearing proper protective equipment, practicing personal hygiene, or obeying safety practices.
• Experience working with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies including chemicals such as acids, caustics, degreasers, using equipment such as foamers, scrubbers, pressure washers, steam machines, or cleaning stainless, conveyors, etc.
• Must be able to read and use standards of operations, understand, and use process, procedures, or workflow documentation.
• Must be able to prepare documentation detailing work, building process flows, etc.

• Must work with industrial chemicals, using chemicals in a safe way, ensuring everything is properly labeled following MSDS, reading and interpreting labels or selection and mixing correct chemicals.
• Must be able to lift/carry 5-45 lbs. frequently for 8-12 hours a day
• Must be able to stand constantly for 8-12 working hours
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Must be able to perform occasional reaching over the shoulder, waist level, and from the floor
• Must be able to perform frequent grasping
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test

Pay: $24.00 - $31.80 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Overnight shift
