What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screen Print Operator position at Pepwear LLC?
PepWear, based in Cedar Hill, Texas, is a leading, rapidly growing company producing and selling screen-printed and embroidered apparel and commemorative plaques at school events and to school groups across the country. Our growth has led to the need to hire in our Screen Print Department.
We are seeking motivated individuals who want to make a difference at a growing company committed to being the best in its field. This will be a high energy position with the opportunity to grow in this department or in other Pepwear departments. This is an entry-level position with ample opportunity for advancement. Experience in the restaurant field or another fast-paced business is a big plus.
Job Description and Expectations:
We want an employee who is dependable, with a great can-do attitude and a desire to learn a new skill. The employee will need to use time wisely and avoid waste of resources and products. The employee will need to plan ahead and use their Pepwear training to run orders with accuracy. Various job duties in screen print include:
- Pullers-responsibilities include pulling screen printed apparel off screen-print presses and loading them onto the dryer. The candidate will have a keen eye for quality control.
- Catchers-responsibilities will include catching screen-printed apparel at end of dryer and keeping apparel organized and counted. Candidate will have keen eye for quality control.
- Screen Room Operator-responsibilities will include operating direct to screen equipment that applies artwork onto screen. Candidate will learn the complete process of coating screens, printing screens, exposing screens and washing screens. Candidate must have experience in Microsoft office and catch onto other software quickly.
- Screen Cleaner-responsibilities will include removing tape and power washing screens free of ink or debris. Will be working in a wet environment and must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly.
Skills Required:
- Screen Print experience is desired but not necessary
- Able to read and have good comprehension
- Able to follow directions
- Good attitude
- Candidate will need to be physically able to stand for long hours if needed and have good upper body strength.
Other:
- Regular work hours are daytime, Monday through Friday
- Some evening work may be necessary during peak seasons
- A Criminal Background Check is required
